Re: Brutal Murder of Dr. Divyendu Sinha due to a racial attack on June 25, 2010
Dated 7-06-10 & Your response dated 7-15-10
Hon. Gov. Chris Christie:
It is very shocking and disturbing to see your response devoid of all human feelings to the brutal murder of Dr Sinha in a racial attack and concerns of Indian American community.
1.You are not mentioning that you are disturbed or sorry or shocked about Dr Sinha’s brutal murder or extending condolences to the family. Neither we have noticed any curtsey call to the family by you or your staff or seen any press release from your office mentioning few words of condolences to the family.
2.Rather than ordering State investigation you are passing the buck Oh! I have asked my Dept of Law and Public Safety Attorney General Paula Dow to review the information sent to me and reply to you directly.
3.Further you are writing, “If you wish to contact AG Dow’s office, you may write to the Department of Law and Public Safety at PO Box 80, Trenton, NJ 08625 or call 609 292 8740.” A call was made at this # and the undersigned was told to call Division of Criminal Justice at 609 292 8740. There Mr. Rich advised to mail the complaint again to them (no e-mail or fax at) at Division of Criminal Justice, PO Box 85, Trenton, NJ 08625. Where as you are writing I have sent the information to AG Dow! A complaint was mailed to Div. of Criminal Justice at both the above mentioned addresses on July 20, 2010.
4.Despite Media Reports of Racial Discrimination to American Indians; in no way you or your administration have tried to send a message or assurance to the Indian American community that your administration is committed to their safety and equal rights; no one will be spared doing racial discrimination to the community members.
5.If not suspension at least your administration could have ordered Old Bridge Police Chief be sent on Departmental Leave till Sinha Murder investigations are completed. If found guilty of negligence in his duties he will be suspended.
6.Above all it looks like your staff doesn’t think Dr Sinha’s racial murder or reports of racial discrimination to Indian Americans are serious issues. That is the reason they have not bothered to read or understand the contents of the letter sent to you on 7-06-10. If they had read it properly they would not have misspelled the last name of the undersigned wrong on the letter as well as Envelop. It is Makkar not Malakar. Neither you would have shown total apathy to the brutal murder of Dr Sinha and to the renewed security fear of Indian American community of USA particularly in New Jersey.
It looks like there is no change in the official policy of the New Jersey Government since the times of Gov. McGreevy; if there is even a graffiti on the grave yard of Jewish community Governor and all the higher officials are making tours and assuring the community of safety, 50% of this concern is shown to African American community for much bigger calamity, 25% of this concern is shown to Hispanic community and no concern at all is shown to the Indian community. The proof is brutal murder of Dr. Geetha Angare under racial bias, deporting 1 Indian at a cost of more than 0,000.00 just to save a knuckle head white cop accused of police brutality under racial bias, worst ever called racial epithets in over 200 years US history under a Police Union, Indians are cockroaches, animals, illiterates and illegal go home, death of 2 Indians both 24 due to the racial apathy of Sgt. Gilinsky and now brutal murder of Dr Sinha under racial bias.
Sir, do you have any intentions to deviate from the official policy of New Jersey of total neglect to Indian Americans which in fact is in violation of US constitution? If so then please announce, “All investigations into Dr Divyendu Sinha’s murder will be handled by Bias Crime Unit of Attorney General’s office, Police Chief of Old Bridge must go on Departmental Leave and 104 Police Officers of Old Bridge will be investigated for ignoring the complaints of racial discrimination to Indian Americans.
Please note any investigations by Old Bridge Police under a incompetent and known Indian Hater Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce Kaplan is an insult to the victims; Late Dr Sinha, his 2 children age 12 & 16, wife & entire community of Indian origin living in New Jersey and America. Mr. Kaplan is the same person who in a matter of Police Brutality under racial bias to an Indian refused to accept the statement 30-40 Indian Americans by saying they are not credible witnesses. Then he took no action against Edison Police Union who is responsible for calling “Indians are cockroaches, animals, illiterates and illegal go home.” These are the worst ever called racial slurs in over 200 years history of America for any minority. Then he took no action against Sgt. Gilinsky for showing racial apathy to 2 Indian victims of accident who could have been saved.
Sincerely,
Devendra ‘Dave’ Makkar

Many Crates, One Drink

Sosyo is probably the largest selling soft drink in Gujarat. It sells more than Coke and Pepsi. While it has become unfashionable with a population that lives on a diet of 30 sec TV spots, it has a very interesting History.
When Gandhi called for a boycott of foreign goods, a Mr.Hajoori from Surat promptly launched an Indian alternative to the imported liquor (mostly Whisky) and soft drinks. He initially called it ‘Whisky No’, but concocted a flavour that would taste like Whisky.
Later when the name became less relevant, it was named Sosyo (from the greek word ‘Socious’ meaning Social… "Social Drink").
If you ever go to Gujarat, don’t miss Sosyo. Nothing beats standing at a pan shop and sipping chilled Sosyo.
